Hi friends.   :)  Today, I wanted to share a couple thoughts/tip related to productivity.

Geoff and his department crew at work have gotten into the habit lately of doing this Top 5 practice.  And so, I decided to hop on the train as well.  Since doing so, I've found myself having accomplished much more at the end of a work day than I had prior.

Since having a baby, my time for business (and actually, everyday life activities/tasks as well) has been sliced and diced.  Being productive pre-baby was a nice idea and was something I practiced occasionally.  :)   But now, productivity = survival.

Top 5 is simple.  Each night before I go to bed (or sometimes in the morning when I'm ready to start my day), I take a few minutes to determine which 5 things are essentials to be accomplished for the day.  And then, I do them.

Here are my top 5 for today:

For me, having my list of 5 priorities is much more manageable than looking at the ever growing master to-do list.  Now all I need to do is make some kind of cute board to write them up/pin them up on.  :)

Go on - try it out for yourself.  What five things will you do between now and the end of the day?

If you would, please notice my #5...finish intern description.  Yes, we are needing some extra help during the winter months - more details to hit the blog tomorrow.
