What a delight this wedding was to shoot! I couldn't help but be a little nervous, as the bride herself is a photographer out of Georgia (you can check her work out HERE). We couldn't asked for a more sweet and in love couple to photograph.
There were so many great moments on this day....the heartfelt (and tearful!) vows, the CUTEST little girl dancing side to side to the post-ceremony music, Melissa taking her grandmother's hand (who has limited vision) for her to feel where her own brooch rested on the bouquet....I could go on and on. I left this wedding feeling so emotionally full!
Not to mention that there was detail upon gorgeous detail to shoot. Melissa and Ryan put so much into their wedding day - many of the details you'll see below are of Melissa's own doing...including the many, many, MANY colored pom poms the guests threw at them on their walk back down the aisle. Love it!

I was practically drooling over the amazingness of her dress and the florals of the day.

Guests were served lemonade and tea out of mason jars prior to the ceremony...much appreciated by all on this scorching hot day.
I so love these four shots of the progression of Ryan's expression as he caught sight of Melissa coming down the aisle. :)
Thank you, God, for the beautiful beam of light perfectly cast on the ceremony garden.
I would be lying if I said I didn't get a little choked up myself while listening to their vows.

Pom poms!
Here is the sweetest, cutest, pudgiest little girl that I told you about...swaying side to side to the sound of the music. My heart about exploded.
And here is Melissa directing her grandma to feel her brooch that belonged to her....this moment really got me.

It's so nice to photograph fellow wedding photographers who know the importance of being given ample time for bride/groom portraits...we were given more than 30 minutes of time with just the two of them to wander around the gardens for pictures. Thank you, Melissa. :)

Bella and Sadie made a special appearance on the wedding day for a couple pictures with mom and dad.

Congratulations, Melissa and Ryan! Thank you for being such wonderful people and for creating such a beautiful wedding day for us to photograph. :) xoxo.
